Fight A Cell Phone Traffic Ticket
Here is a great tip on fighting a cell phone traffic ticket. In New York you can not use a cell phone while operating a vehicle. The law states that you can use a cell phone to make an emergency call while operating a vehicle. If you can convince an officer or judge, that you were on an emergency call, then you might just avoid getting the traffic ticket or getting it dismissed. Now lets say you were caught using a cell phone while driving, but you were on the phone with 911 because you were reporting a reckless driver, let’s say. If you show the cop your call history or the judge your phone bill, and explain that you were on an emergency call, well that might just be the proof you need to get out of the cell phone traffic ticket. I knew a girl who used to get caught all the time on her phone. She would hang up with the person she was talking to, quickly dial 911, and then hang up just before 911 picked up so the call would register on her phone. She would then show the cop that she was on the phone with 911 on an emergency call. She has yet to get a cell phone traffic ticket.
